BayArena in Germany Recieves LED Face Lift
The BayArena is a football stadium with a multifunctional complex of VIP lounges, training rooms and an official fan shop for the German football club, Bayer Leverkusen. Renovated in 2009 and holding over 30,000 seats, the BayArena is one of the more modern stadiums of the German Football League. The seating area for spectators is covered by a circular Makrolon roof that also provides shelter for people in front of the stadium. Traxon Wall Washer AC XB-36 was selected to provide the perfect colorful illumination level of the entire transparent roof. Reflections in the multi-layered material of the Makrolon roof produce a lighting effect that is evenly spread and clearly visible, while special optics and fine adjustments help to avoid glare and light disturbances. Controlled by an e:cue Butler XT2, 150 Wall Washers illuminate the roof from below, displaying static and dynamic preprogrammed sequences played before the soccer games, during half-time, or at the end of a game, with the option to easily create additional scenes for special events.
